Sub: Insurance of Power Employees & Engineers working in Covid-19 Pandemic

Respected Sir,

All India Power Engineers Federation (AIPEF) appreciates the gesture of Government of India to announce the financial package to help the citizens and workers suffering due to lock down. AIPEF also appreciates the proposed Rs 50 Lac insurance scheme declared for health workers indulged in COVID-19 treatment and related activities.

2. On behalf of AIPEF, I request you to kindly extend the coverage of this scheme to electricity employees and engineers also working across the country to maintain the uninterrupted power supply which is most necessary to continue all kind of activities in this critical and crucial juncture.

3. You are kindly aware that electricity employees and engineers are also at very high risk who are toiling hard to ensure 24*7 uninterrupted supply to peoples. Therefore considering the current situation and the amount of risk involved in the nature of their duty, I request you to kindly consider to extend the proposed insurance scheme to benefit the all electricity employees and engineers also.

AIPEF will be grateful to you if you would kindly do the needful for the same at the earliest.
