The National Electricity Policy  is proposed to be revised/overhauled, the first such exercise since Feb 2005.  For this a period of 21 days was given, later extended by 7 days to 25 May 2021. Considering the vast spectrum of subjects covered and considering the present conditions of pandemic our request for 6 months extension was wholly justified .

        Only recently GOI has extended the date of filing Income Tax returns  from 31 July to 30 Sept  , while IT return is a regular  annual exercise . Thus while GOI has recognised the   abnormal conditions of pandemic  we suggest that the Ministry of Power may reconsider and allow an extension of 6 months for filing comments to NEP 2021.
