Sub: Protest Day on 11th Feb to support Bihar Strike
You are aware that power employees and engineers of Bihar are on war path against privatisation policies of Bihar Government and Power Corporation. Bihar power engineers and employees held a massive demonstration on 27th January 2020 at Vidyut Bhawan Patna. Instead of holding talks with representatives of employees Govt used water cannon and brutally lathi charged on peaceful demonstrators. As per pre declared programme now Bihar power employees and engineers are preparing for 11th February one day strike against privatisation.
2. With the aim to suppress the movement Bihar Power Corporation has suspended Er Surendra Kumar General Secretary of Power Engineers Service Association (PESA) Bihar. This act is highly condemnable and diplorable. NCCOEEE has decided to observe 11th February as Protest Day in support of Bihar power employees.
3. Attention of all NCCOEEE constituents is drawn towards the situation in Bihar since Police atrocities against peacefully demonstrating Electricity Employees and Engineers. Electricity employees and engineers vehemently protested against such atrocious action. In the course of oppressive action, Er Surendra Kumar EE & General Secretary Power Engineers Service Association Bihar has been suspended. NCCOEEE Bihar Chapter has resolved to resort to one day strike on 11th February. NCCOEEE National chapter calls upon all its constituents to observe protest day on 11th February as a mark of solidarity to Bihar Strike. Besides protest demonstration, email should be sent to Bihar Chief Minister seeking his intervention for amicable settlement of dispute in power sector of Bihar as well total hold upon power sector privatisation.

4. All are requested to ensure NCCOEEE call to observe Protest Day by holding demonstration at all State Capitals to support Bihar Strike and to show solidarity against police action and victimization in Bihar.
