On behalf of AIPEF i express my hearty gratitude towards you and thank you for taking a bold decision to oppose Electricity (Amendment) Bill 2020 in larger public interest particularly in the interest of farmers, common consumers, power employees & power sector. 

2. Sir, you have very rightly said that the amendments if passed in Parliament would vest the powers of privatisation of distribution and subsidies in the hand of Central Govt while Electricity is on concurrent list and is state subject. Apprehensions expressed by you are very correct that what will happen to farmers and common consumers if the distribution  is privatised ?

3. Power Engineers across the country feel very much overwhelmed with your statement that your Government will oppose the draconian Bill forcefully in Parliament. We all are with you Sir.
